Job Description

Job Summary: We are looking for a professional who is responsible for the development, performance and maintenance of all of the manufacturing production to put in place an efficient production, maximizing performance & profitability against agreed target lines.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing plans for team and department activities to include a strategy to achieve agreed targets;

  • Plan and organize production schedules and asses the resource requirement ahead;

  • Establish workflow policies that enhance speed and efficiency without compromising quality, safety or integrity;

  • Ensure the proper function of the production plant by scheduling and conducting preventive and normal maintenance programs promptly;

  • Continuous analysis of current production processes and procedures, proposals for improvements, implementation and follow-through of the agreed changes;

  • Ensure efficient collaboration and co-ordination between related departments including procurement, distribution and management;

  • Implement and enforce quality control and tracking programs to meet quality objectives;

  • Ensure all employees follow industry standard health and safety guidelines;

  • Ensure all health and safety standards/regulations are met to keep an organization accident-free;

  • Communicate any problems or obstacles to senior management;

  • Facilitate training to subordinates about the production plant, safety, healthy, production process and other related issues on a continuous basis;

  • Motivate, support and guide the available manpower resources in the production unit;

  • Create schedules for employees to ensure optimum staffing levels;

  • Determine and implement improvements to the production process;

  • Analyze production and quality control to detect and correct problems in any;

  • Set and manage production budgets and attain production goals by implementing cost control mechanisms;

  • Prepare and maintain production reports daily, weekly, monthly, and as required;

  • Other tasks assigned by the Plan Manager.

Requirements

Academic qualification

  • B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering or other related fields

Additional qualifications and skill

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Persuasiveness and decision-making skills

  • Stress tolerance and results-driven

  • Knowledge of health and safety standards and compliance

  • Knowledge of business, finance and management principles

Years of experience: 6+ years of demonstrative production management experience;
