Job Description

As a Senior Contract Administrator in our construction consulting firm, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful management and execution of contractual agreements. Leveraging your extensive experience in the construction industry, you will oversee the negotiation, drafting, and administration of contracts, while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth coordination of projects, fostering positive relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Management:

  • Lead contract negotiations, ensuring terms align with project requirements and objectives.

  • Draft, review, and execute construction contracts, including subcontractor agreements and change orders.

  • Monitor contract performance, addressing issues and deviations promptly

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

  • Ensure all contracts adhere to industry regulations, legal requirements, and quality standards.

  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks and maintain regulatory compliance.

Stakeholder Coordination:

  • Interface with project managers, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and resolution of contract-related matters.

  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to streamline contract processes

Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks in contractual agreements and develop strategies to mitigate them.

  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, considering project scope, timelines, and budget constraints.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and organized contract records, ensuring accessibility and transparency.

  • Prepare regular reports on contract status, highlighting key metrics and deviations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 10+ years of proven experience in contract administration within the construction industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of construction contract law, project management principles, and industry best practices.

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to draft clear and comprehensive contracts.

  • Familiarity with construction project documentation and specifications.

  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
