Job Description

As a Mental Health Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing the mental health of individuals within our community. You will be responsible for implementing mental health programs, providing counseling services, and collaborating with other professionals to create a supportive environment. The ideal candidate is empathetic, skilled in mental health intervention, and passionate about making a positive impact on the well-being of others.

Place of Work: Addis Ababa, Jimma, Desse, Debreberhan, Gambella

No of Position: 10 (Two for Each Location)

Remuneration: As per the company scale

Job Type: Project Based Contract

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide confidential and empathetic counseling services to individuals experiencing mental health challenges.

  • Conduct assessments to identify mental health needs and develop personalized care plans.

  • Design, implement, and evaluate mental health programs aimed at raising awareness, reducing stigma, and promoting overall mental well-being.

  • Organize workshops, seminars, and support groups to address specific mental health issues.

Required Skills:

  • Proficient in Locality Language and Culture

  • Good Communication skill

  • Usage of Mobile Apps and Technology savvy

  • Proficient in Sign Language is a Plus

Job Requirements:

  • BSc/ MSc in Psychology or Psychiatry, Training in MHPSS is a Plus

Experience:

  • 2 year and above experience
