The Advocacy Officer for the EU-funded CLEAR CAR (Project on Child Labor-Effective Awareness and Response in CAR) Project implements advocacy and project initiatives at the regional and provincial levels related to child labor laws including WFCL and OSAEC. S/he sustains and strengthens partnerships by identifying experience sharing opportunities, networking, and sustainability. Collaborates with LPI for the effective implementation of project strategies.
Communicates project goals and objectives to the government and LGU partners, stakeholders, partner organizations for the impactful implementation of the project.
Ensure that partnerships at the national and regional levels of the government are forged in support to the effective implementation of the project.
Implements approved capacity building activities for government and partners organizations related to child labor, child protection, WFCL, OSAEC, and other advocacy-related topics.
Collaborates with other departments and teams for impactful delivery of advocacy and communications plan for intended publics.
Participates in team planning, project assessments and deliberations so that advocacy targets are well-executed and implemented together with partner organization.
Conducts monitoring of advocacy initiatives so that they are attuned to the changing contexts of the needs of project areas.
Provides coaching and mentoring to staff of partner organization relative to advocacy, lobbying of CL/WFCL/OSAEC related issues.
Documents or coordinates documentation of promising practices or success stories that can be shared to potential sponsors or donors or as supporting evidences for various grants or PNS proposals.
Attends regular team devotion as part of staff spiritual nurture.
Participates in meetings, such as team and organizational, as necessary
Submits Performance Agreements and Staff Learning and Development Plan and Performance Reviews
Supports emergency response, as necessary
Must have a degree in Communications, journalism, public administration, or related field with at least 3 years of advocacy/lobbying experience for a non-profit organization;
·Experienced in DPA or extensive practice of community organizing and development;
Experienced in public information, public relations, advocacy and lobbying efforts for child protection issues, especially child labor.
