PATH in Ethiopia is currently implementing various high impact projects with the aim of saving and improving the lives of the most vulnerable and underserved women and children in the country. Currently, PATH is looking for a Training coordinator who will manage the roll out of Immunization in Practice (IIP) training in Afar, Amhara, Benishangul Gumuz, Oromia, Somali and Sidama regions. The training coordinator will report to the Project Director for vaccine and Immunization programs based in Addis Ababa.
Overall responsible for coordination and management of each training sessions
In collaboration with the regional EPI team, will identify training participants and training sites.
Plan and supervise implementation of IIP training in selected Woredas.
Ensure distribution of training materials to training sites a head of training dates
In collaboration with regional EPI team, will assign training facilitators.
Make sure each training session is conducted as per the standard set and based on the training guide.
Responsible for ensuring training quality through daily monitoring and post training session review.
Prepare training session and overall training reports.
Document lesson learned, challenges and recommendations for improvement.
And any other activity as requested by the supervisor.
Required Experience
Bachelor’s degree or higher in public health, nursing and/or other relevant field.
Minimum seven (7) years’ for bachelor’s and five (5) years for master’s experience in public health programming, implementation, with at least three-four (3-4) years’ experience in the area of immunization and maternal/child health programs including engagement in HPV and COVID-19 vaccine delivery planning, coordination, implementation and monitoring.
Have TOT certificates in immunization related trainings (MLM, IIP, IRT…).
Practical experience in providing off-the-job and on-the-job training, coaching and mentoring.
Proven ability to create and maintain effective working relationships with government and partners organizations and local communities.
Proven experience in data analysis
Skilled in successfully working with geographically dispersed teams and working in a multi-cultural environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team, including cross-cultural teams.
Experience in using Microsoft offices (power point, outlook, excel and word)
Excellent written and oral communication skills in English and knowing local language is mandatory.
Ability to travel to Woredas and health facilities, estimated to be about 80%.
