Overview:

Royal Dental Clinic is one of the best Dental Clinic in Ethiopia, we provide a range of oral health services, including esthetic dentistry, preventive care, diagnostics, and treatment. We are looking for a Dental Nurse to plays a crucial role in supporting dental practitioners and ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our dental clinics. This role involves providing chairside assistance during dental procedures, maintaining a sterile environment, and offering support to both the dental team and patients as well as promoting Royal Dental Clinic goals and objectives.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Chairside Assistance:

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures by providing necessary instruments, materials, and support.

• Ensure patient comfort and readiness for treatments.

Sterilization and Infection Control:

• Maintain a sterile and hygienic environment in the dental clinic.

• Sterilize and prepare instruments and equipment for dental procedures.

• Adhere to infection control protocols and guidelines.

Patient Care:

• Welcome and prepare patients for their dental appointments.

• Escort patients to treatment rooms and provide reassurance.

• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care in person and other online platforms

Record Keeping:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment plans and medical histories.

• Record details of dental procedures performed and any relevant information.

Radiography Assistance:

• Assist in taking dental radiographs (X-rays) and ensure proper safety measures.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Ensure all dental equipment is well-maintained and in proper working condition.

• Arrange for equipment repairs or replacements as needed.

Administrative Support:

• Assist with administrative tasks such as appointment scheduling and managing patient records.

• Handle phone calls, inquiries, and appointment confirmations.

Emergency Preparedness:

• Be familiar with emergency protocols and assist in managing dental emergencies.

• Maintain emergency equipment and supplies.

Continuous Learning:

• Stay informed about advancements in dental nursing, infection control, and dental technology.

• Participate in relevant training programs and professional development opportunities.

Working Conditions:

• As a Dental Nurses at Royal Dental Clinic, you will work in clean and well-lit dental clinics. The role may involve occasional exposure to radiation and exposure to infectious materials, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Skills:

• Completion of an accredited medical nursing, dental nursing or dental hygienist program or equivalent.

• Registered or licensed as a nurse in Ethiopia

• Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and materials.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

• Understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy.
