Duties and Responsibilities:

Legal Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues.

  • Provide legal opinions and recommendations based on research findings.

Contract Review and Drafting:

  • Review and draft contracts and legal agreements.

  • Ensure compliance with legal standards and mitigate risks.

Legal Documentation:

  • Prepare and maintain legal documents, including contracts, memos, and reports.

  • Organize and manage legal documentation efficiently.

Compliance Support:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of compliance programs.

  • Contribute to compliance audits and assessments.

Litigation Support:

  • Provide support in legal disputes and litigation matters.

  • Assist in the preparation of legal documents for court proceedings.

Corporate Governance:

  • Support corporate governance initiatives.

  • Assist in ensuring compliance with corporate governance principles.

Employee Relations:

  • Provide legal guidance on employment-related matters.

  • Assist in resolving employee-related legal issues.

Intellectual Property:

  • Assist in the management and protection of intellectual property.

  • Contribute to the enforcement of intellectual property rights.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations.

  • Assist in ensuring the organization's compliance with relevant legal requirements.

Communication with Stakeholders:

  • Communicate legal updates and advice to internal stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with other departments to address legal implications.

Legal Training:

  • Participate in legal training sessions for employees.

  • Contribute to enhancing legal awareness within the organization.

Collaboration with Legal Team:

  • Work collaboratively with other members of the legal team.

  • Contribute to team initiatives and projects.

Confidentiality:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality of legal matters.

  • Handle sensitive information with discretion.

Ad Hoc Responsibilities:

  • Undertake additional responsibilities and tasks as assigned by the Head of Legal Department.

  • Support other legal and organizational initiatives as needed.

Job Requirements

Education:•    

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

  • Admission to the Bar in the relevant jurisdiction.

  • Continuous legal education and relevant certifications are advantageous.

Experience:

  •  Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in legal practice.

  • Experience in areas such as contract law, corporate law, or litigation is preferred.

Legal Expertise:

  • Sound knowledge of local, state, and federal laws relevant to the organization.

  • Familiarity with various legal documents and agreements.

Analytical Skills:

  • Strong analytical and research skills.

  • Ability to analyze legal issues and provide practical solutions.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.

Team Collaboration:

  • Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the legal team.

  • Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Ethical Standards:

  • High ethical standards and integrity.

  • Adherence to legal and ethical standards within the organization.

Problem-Solving:

  • Strong problem-solving skills for addressing legal challenges.

  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.

Negotiation Skills:

  • Proficient in negotiation and drafting legal agreements.

  • Experience in contract review and negotiation.
