 About ASDEPO:

Action for Social Development and Environmental Protection Organization (ASDEPO) is an Ethiopian indigenous, “Civil Society Organization” established in 2014. ASDEPO is mandated to operate in all regional states of the country and is engaged in different thematic program areas of intervention namely: Humanitarian Response, Education, Health, Women and Youth Economic Empowerment, Gender Based Violence and Child Protection, Migration/Human Trafficking, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), NTD’s Climate Change, Agriculture, Environmental Protection and Training in Gambella, Oromiya, Benishangul Gumuz, Afar and Somali Region. 

ASDEPO fulfils its mandate by providing direct assistance to conflict-affected populations, including refugees, internally displaced people and host communities. Under its mandate, the organization focuses on emergency humanitarian response, rehabilitation and post-conflict recovery.

Currently ASDEPO is implementing nutrition project focused on Emergency Nutrition response through CMAM approach in all region of Ethiopia.

Amhara region is one of our intervention area and currently looking for community outreach supervisor for Ziquala and Tsagbiji Woredas of Waghimira Zone, Amhara Region. Thus, ASDEPO is currently seeking a qualified candidate for a position for community outreach supervisor. The community outreach supervisor will be responsible for implementation of comprehensive package of nutrition program at project areas of ziquala and tsagbiji woreda of wagimra zone in collaboration with CMAM and IYCF officer.

     KEY Roles

• Participate to implementation of nutrition intervention to target beneficiaries. Organize, mobilize and facilitate on implementation of activities with beneficiaries/communities and other stakeholders.

• Organize/facilitate the registration, verification, mobilization of project beneficiaries and engage on monitoring of the subsequent meetings with the community and other stakeholders.

• Organize and facilitate meetings on discuss and presentation of project activities with          beneficiaries communities, with support of security field officers

KEY area of Responsibility.

• Participate in implementation of project’s activities according project expected results

• Contribute in planning of project’s activities base on lifespan of the project

• Engaged with routine community SBCC on health and Nutrition promotion activity.

• Coordinate activities and sensitize at targeted kebele and local partners

• Identify and inform project's head if any challenges and problems encountered.

• Facilitate and participate on project base line and end line survey.

Job Requirements

• Diploma/BSC Nurse /public health or any other related fields.

• Minimum of five years working experience for diploma and three years and above experience for degree Holders related to Nutrition and related public service implementations in Emergency and development approaches.

• Knowledge in area of emergence nutrition intervention context is preferred.

NGO experience is mandatory
