About ASDEPO:
Action for Social Development and Environmental Protection Organization (ASDEPO) is an Ethiopian indigenous, “Civil Society Organization” established in 2014. ASDEPO is mandated to operate in all regional states of the country and is engaged in different thematic program areas of intervention namely: Humanitarian Response, Education, Health, Women and Youth Economic Empowerment, Gender Based Violence and Child Protection, Migration/Human Trafficking, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), NTD’s Climate Change, Agriculture, Environmental Protection and Training in Gambella, Oromiya, Benishangul Gumuz, Afar and Somali Region.
ASDEPO fulfils its mandate by providing direct assistance to conflict-affected populations, including refugees, internally displaced people and host communities. Under its mandate, the organization focuses on emergency humanitarian response, rehabilitation and post-conflict recovery.Currently ASDEPO is implementing nutrition project focused on Emergency Nutrition response through CMAM approach in all region of Ethiopia.
Amhara region is one of our intervention area and currently looking for Nutrition Project Coordinator for Debre Berhan and Shewa Robit Woredas of North Shewa Zone, Amhara Region.. Thus, The Nutrition Coordinators will provide technical support to the nutrition team and woredas health offices track project implementation progresses and guide the team to meet project targets through effective budget utilization and conduct regular monitoring or evaluation visits on project sites for quality work delivery. She/He will responsible to monitor the overall day-to-day activities of nutrition and MIYCN program, timely compile and submit reports in communication with nutrition focals at Head office level.
Coordinate and lead the overall nutrition program implementation in the project areas, and ensure implementation of activities in collaboration with Nutrition Program at Head office.
Support in improving the referral from outpatient therapeutic sites of children suffering from medical complications of severe acute malnutrition.
Ensure accountability in the nutrition Programme; promote feedback including the Complaints & Response Mechanism.
Support Logistics/administrative/finance staff in field office in the absence of the LAF officer and provide technical assistance
Actively participate in the relevant cluster meetings and other related coordination platforms in the region or zonal level and any rapid assessment in the project areas.
Conduct regular meetings with project and government staff to discuss and track the project implementation progresses.
Work closely with other partners in the project areas to harmonize humanitarian interventions and integrated approach where possible.
Provide weekly or monthly update on project progress and report any concerns in a timely manner for concerned departments.
Develop ToR for trainings and capacity to conduct nutrition training for project nutrition staff and government stakeholders.
Prepare detailed work plan and budget plan for nutrition activities and ensure implementation of planned activities according to the work plan.
Support staff recruitment and training, conduct performance monitoring in collaboration with HR, MEAL and program departments.
Facilitate joint quarterly supportive supervision with funding Partner and government stakeholders.

B.Sc. degree in Nutrition, Health or related field. Master's degree in Public health nutrition or equivalent in Nutrition/Public Health
At least, 5+ years of relative and progressive experience in Nutrition, including minimum 2 years in emergency response setting
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and take initiative.
Proven experience in managing rapid response mechanism of nutrition programs
Skills in reporting, designing and implementing nutrition programs.
Experience in teaching/coaching mentoring of project staff.
Ability and willingness to travel to project sites and nutrition facilities
Fluent spoken and written Amharic and English.
Knowledge in area of emergence nutrition intervention context is preferred.
NGO experience is mandatory
