1.      Job Identification

1.1 Job title: -     Biomedical and General Maintenance Division Head

1.2 Reports to: -   Facility and Support Service Manager  

1.3 Work Place: -  Facility and Support Service

2.  Major duties and responsibilities

Under close supervision of facility and support service manager, provide technical advice and guidance to employees whose work is related to a specific technical field such as Biomedical equipment’s, Plumbing, Sewing machines, Furniture’s, Metals and others. Review work orders, checklists, and other documentation to ensure that the maintenance was performed correctly. Assign tasks to employees based on their skills and training, ensuring that they are working safely, and providing feedback to help them improve their performance

3. Specific Duties and Responsibilities

3.1 Ensure that all Medical Equipment’s and other Machines have a proper log book and keeping history records.

3.2 Ensure that the facilities are operating smoothly by monitoring and reporting on equipment performance, maintenance needs, and employee performance.

3.3 Develop and oversee implementation of preventive, predictive, corrective and routine repair and maintenance schedules.

3.4 Install, adjust, maintain, repair, or provide technical support for biomedical and other equipment’s.

3.5 oversee testing, troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions for medical equipment.

3.6 Evaluate the safely, efficiency, and effectiveness of biomedical equipment

3.7 Train clinicians and others personnel on the proper use and maintenance of biomedical equipment. 

3.8 Provide technical advice and guidance to employees whose work is related to a specific technical field such as biomedical equipment’s, plumbing office Furniture’s, Metals, Sewing Machines and others.

3.9 Ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.

3.10 Review work orders, checklists, and other documentation to ensure that the maintenance was performed correctly.

3.11 Evaluate employee performance and conducting disciplinary actions when necessary.

3.12 Assign tasks to employees based on their skills and training, ensuring that they are working safely, and providing feedback to help them improve their performance.

3.13 Oversee the work of employees in order to ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget constraints.

3.14 Maintain good relationships with clients by providing them with information about projects as they progress and answering any questions they may have.

3.15 Communicate regularly with clients to ensure that they are happy with the work being performed.

3.16 Performs other related functions as required.

BSC in Biomedical engineering or other related fields
