Job Description

Improve the performance of Master Trainer

  • Develop and execute comprehensive training programs for Master Trainers, aligning with organizational goals and objectives.

  • Plan and coordinate training schedules, ensuring timely delivery of content and activities.

  • Monitor the performance and engagement of Master Trainers during training sessions.

  • Allocate necessary resources, materials, and tools required for Master Trainers to carry out their responsibilities effectively.

Improve the performance of Service Providers

  • Develop and implement comprehensive plans for service delivery, aligning with organizational objectives.

  • Allocate necessary resources, tools, and materials required for Service Providers to carry out their responsibilities effectively.

  • Conduct regular audits and evaluations to maintain and improve the quality of services provided.

Improve the performance of Dairy Farmer School

  • Establishment of networks and support systems among DFS participants, fostering a sense of community and collaboration.

  • Integration of innovative and cost-effective approaches that contribute to long-term success and resilience.

Interface role

  • Most of the BRIDGE+ interventions will take place in the selected project woredas. Although the DFSA is not responsible for activities regarding Agro-Input supply services, Research and Innovation activities, support to women and youth enterprises, dairy cooperatives, or human nutrition, S/He will facilitate the contacts with the BRIDGE+ regional team and the project end users.

Networking, planning, and reporting

  • Prepare weekly and monthly plan and reports and submit it to cluster coordinator and zonal livestock offices.

Qualifications

  • MSc/BSc Animal Science or related fields.

  • At least 6 years’ experience having good understanding/skill on dairy extension techniques and with training material development, training of trainers, public preferably private extension delivery models, research-extension linkages, and extension-education linkages.

  • One-year preferable experience in team leader position and/or manager position.

  • Familiarity with and ability to apply BRIDGE+ strategies.

Contract Type: National

Expected start date: April 28, 2024.

Duty Station:  Addis Ababa

Contract Duration: One year with the possibility of extension based on performance and budget availability.
