• Carries out and completes all maintenance works/requests according to the established schedule and ensures high quality of finishing work.  Pays particular attention to guest related jobs.

• Utilize assigned tools and machines/equipment in the w/shop as to provide continuous and consistent services required to produce woodwork and furniture maintenance.

• Inspects and reports any damaged furniture, carpet floor, wooden walls etc.… and take the necessary action in collaboration with other operating departments.

• Attends to any guest requests in a manner and standard as specified in policy and procedures.

• Inspects, services rectify and maintains all areas which needs urgent correction.

• Makes the required logs of service delivery data requested by guests and internal customers at the end of the working day.

• Avoids unsightly hazards and complies with all local regulations and codes.

• Properly handles and maintains all power tools.

• Submits request to the Assistant Manager -Engineering for the purchases of parts and consumables.

• Ensures cleanliness of all work areas and protects the surroundings when executing duties.

• Ensures effective energy conservation measures in areas of operations.

• Ensures fire, life and safety systems are operational

• Performs emergency procedures relating to fire, life and safety, e.g., such as attending to fire alarms, lift rescue.

• Ensures timely completion of work orders and preventive maintenance tasks.

• Reports any abnormal conditions noticed at any time in line with safety related equipment or installation to Assistant Manager – Engineering.

• Assists other Technicians whenever necessary.

Job Requirements

BSc Degree or Diploma or Certificate in Maintenance, Engineering or Related Fields

Minimum 2 years' work experience as Carpenter in a Hotel or in a similar large building/complex with central plant
