Project Overview

Our company is currently venturing into new business line under its new subsidiary company Gabana Retails. Gabana Retails is expected to engage in the hospitality sector by introducing high end cafes and restaurants in Addis Ababa.

Purpose of the Job:

Our company is looking for a talent who will be responsible in managing the end-to-end project management of the new business unit (from project planning to project implementation and Project Evaluation) and manage the day-to-day operation upon implementation of the business. 

Project managers oversee the project on a daily basis and are responsible for delivering high-quality results within the identified objectives and constraints, ensuring the effective use of the allocated resources. They are responsible for risk and issue management, project communication and stakeholder management. Project managers perform the activities of planning, organising, securing, monitoring and managing the resources and work necessary to deliver specific project goals and objectives in an effective and efficient way.

Job Requirements

Job Specification and Qualification

·        Education Qualification: MSc in Hotel Management, Project Management or MBA

·        Work Experience: An overall 8 (eight) years of work experience with a minimum work experience of 2 years in a managerial position in a Hospitality sector

·        Experience of managing complex and high projects

·        Experience of working in foreign countries is a plus.

·        Experience of managing international hospitality brand or franchise is a plus.

·        Good communication skills. 

·        Ability to identify and resolve problems. 

·        Fluency in Amharic and English, written and verbal is mandatory. For expat candidates, fluency in Amharic is waived.
