Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Sourcing and Market Research Expert to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for identifying and sourcing high-quality products from various suppliers, conducting market research to inform our product strategy, and ensuring that we stay ahead of market trends.

 Key responsibilities & duties

1. Product Sourcing:

·       Identify potential manufacturers, suppliers, wholesalers and establish relationships to source high-quality products.

·       Conduct thorough research to identify new product opportunities in line with business objectives.

·       Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with suppliers to ensure competitive advantage.

·       Continuously evaluate supplier performance to ensure consistent quality and timely delivery.

2. Market Research:

·       Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences, and competitive landscape.

·       Analyse market data, industry reports, and customer insights to inform product development decisions.

·       Monitor competitor activity including pricing strategies, marketing campaigns, and product offerings.

·       Provide recommendations on product positioning based on market analysis.

3. Supplier Management:

·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as logistics, procurement, and others to manage supplier relationships effectively.

·       Ensure compliance with ethical sourcing practices by conducting supplier audits when necessary.

·       Monitor supplier performance metrics such as lead times, quality control measures, and customer satisfaction.

4. Collaboration:

·       Collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop effective product launch strategies based on market insights.

·       Work closely with the product development team in identifying innovative products that align with consumer needs.

5. Company Policy: Ensure company policies and procedures are followed at all times.

6. Report: ensue Reporting of performance to the commercial manager as per the company reporting standards and policy. 

Job Requirements

 ·       A minimum of Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business management, or related field.

·       Proven experience in product sourcing or procurement roles within an ecommerce or retail environment is advantageous.

·       Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including vendor evaluation techniques.

·       Proficient in conducting comprehensive market research using various tools (e.g., surveys, focus groups) to gather customer insights.

·       Excellent negotiation skills along with a strong ability to build relationships with suppliers.

·       Strong analytical skills combined with the ability to communicate complex data effectively.

·       Familiarity with ethical sourcing practices is preferred.

·       Self-motivated individual who can work independently while also being a collaborative team player.

 ·       4 Years’ experience. Work experience in e-commerce company is privileged
