Job Summary: -   The Senior Electrician will perform complex and challenging electrical installations, maintenance of electrical equipment, repair and modification work, execute preventive and corrective maintenance and is also responsible for the training of under his assigned staff. In addition to this Install and maintain wiring, control, and lighting systems. Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers. Identify electrical problems using a variety of testing devices. Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: -

• Supervising and leading all maintenance processes and operations.

• Meets operational goals by contributing information and recommendations for strategic planning and review, preparing and enacting action plans, maintaining production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, completing audits, identifying trends, recognizing problems and determining appropriate system improvements and solutions.

• Supports financial objectives by forecasting requirements, preparing budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and taking effective corrective actions.

• Ensures stable electrical supply by maintaining equipment and outlets, including energy management system for prototyping and assembly systems, lighting and security apparatus.

• Provides power and connectivity to workstations and offices by studying blueprints, running electrical wiring for common and dedicated electrical outlets and fixtures, and providing raceways for telephone and fiber communications.

• Supports engineering needs by responding to service requests for mechanical and electrical problems.

• Ensures compliance with all applicable codes and regulations and advises senior management on requirements.

• Maintains material and equipment supplies by regularly monitoring inventory levels, anticipating supply needs, placing and expediting electrical material orders and reviewing and approving invoices

• Keeps knowledge and skills current by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, networking and participating in professional organizations.

• Execute maintenance by using TPM tools.

• Periodically monitor, measure, analyze and evaluate the food safety management systems compliance and enhance performance

• Continually validate, verify, review, improve and update the food safety management system for the continuing suitability, adequacy and effectiveness of the system.

• Minimize and effectively manage risks and use opportunities to improve performance

• Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems.

• Planning and managing all repair and installation activities.

• Ensuring all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures.

• Ensure reduction targets (environmental objectives) are in place for environmental aspects e.g. water consumption and discharge, waste, energy and greenhouse gas emissions.

• Implement, document, maintain and continually improve the Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015). 

• Assigning repair schedules and evaluating repair cost estimates.

• Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs.

• Overseeing equipment stock and placing orders for new supplies when necessary.

• Perform Other duties as directed by line manager.
