Job Description

This position is responsible for performing the vehicle maintenance activities of the bank following-up and performing regular preventive maintenance for vehicles to diagnose, inspect, and give corrective maintenance to vehicles, inspect and maintain machineries and equipment of the Bank and maintain proper records.

Major duties of the Auto Mechanic

• Assist the senior auto mechanic in coordinating and performing the repair and maintenance activities of vehicles, machineries, and equipment in the Bank.

• Perform regular preventive maintenance activities for vehicles of the Bank based on the program.

• Inspect and diagnose mechanical electrical and other parts of vehicles on regular intervals.

• Perform regular preventive vehicle maintenance; checks-up systems, lubricants, consumables, tires, etc.… are in safe conditions and keep proper records regarding maintenance history of vehicles.

• Lead maintenance and repairs of minor mechanical, electrical, tire, brakes, and other minor maintenance at the premises of the Bank.

• Perform inspections and diagnosis for vehicles held/acquired due to collateral purposes and make minor maintenance as deemed necessary.

• Follow-up maintenance held by external garages; checks the geniuses of parts replaced and confirms their completion as per the need of the Bank.

• Keep records shows entire maintenance history of vehicles and suggests different administrative actions

• Handle and keep maintenance tools, consumables, and the mini workshop properly

• Advise the supervisor on the acquisition and disposal of vehicles, parts and other related duties as deemed necessary.

• Perform minor maintenances for machineries and equipment of the Bank

• Prepare periodic vehicle maintenance and related reports and submits to the supervisor.

• Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time

Job Requirements

Required qualification and experience:

Education:

Level IV or TVET Diploma, 10th grade complete and 3rd grade/Public Driving license or any other relevant field                               

Experience:

At least 2 years relevant experience
