Job Description

General Managers plan, direct, or coordinate the operations of public or private sector organizations, overseeing multiple departments or locations. Duties and responsibilities include formulating policies, managing daily operations, and planning the use of materials and human resources, but are too diverse and general in nature to be classified in any one functional area of management or administration, such as personnel, purchasing, or administrative services.

Job Requirements

Professional Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role, preferably within the furniture manufacturing industry or a related field.

  • Proven track record of successfully managing operations, finance, and personnel.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Industry Knowledge:

  • Extensive knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes, materials, quality standards, and industry best practices.

  • Familiarity with the latest trends in furniture design and production technology.

Leadership Skills:

  • Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.

  • Experience in developing and implementing strategic plans that improve operational efficiency and drive growth.

Operational Management:

  • Competency in planning, budgeting, and resource allocation to meet production goals.

  • Proficiency in supply chain management, from procurement of raw materials to delivery of finished products.

Quality Control:

  • A keen eye for detail with a commitment to upholding high-quality standards.

  • Experience in establishing and overseeing quality control procedures.

Financial Acumen:

  • Solid understanding of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.

  • Ability to make informed decisions that contribute to the company’s financial health.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and legal requirements related to the furniture manufacturing industry.
