Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team and ensure the quality of all the products and services we produce. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our organization by developing quality standards, conducting tests, and identifying any issues in the production of our software applications for both backend and frontend products. You will design and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures to thoroughly test the functionality, performance, and reliability of our software.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and establish quality assurance processes and procedures.

• Design and execute test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures to ensure the quality of software applications for both back-end and front-end products.

• Conduct functional, regression, and integration testing to identify defects and ensure they are addressed before software release.

• Document test results and communicate findings to the relevant team members, stakeholders, and management.

• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.

• Facilitate Scrum events such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

• Guide the development team and product owner in adhering to Scrum principles and practices.

• Perform root cause analysis of defects and work closely with the development team to resolve them.

• Conduct post-release or post-implementation testing to ensure the stability and performance of the released software.

• Work on automation testing to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process.

• Analyze the system and ensure the test strategy is aligned with the requirements of the development process.

• Continuously improve the quality assurance process and methodologies used within the organization.

• Maintain and manage test environments and test data.

• Create logs for documenting the testing phases and defects.

• Collaborate with the development team to evaluate product code in accordance with the specifications.

• Provide timely and accurate reports on quality metrics, test coverage, and test progress to stakeholders.

Job Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 2+ years of experience as a software QA/Tester, preferably in an Agile environment.

• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.

• Proficiency in designing and executing test cases, scripts, plans, and procedures.

• Familiarity with test management software and defect tracking systems.

• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.

• Experience with web-based and mobile testing frameworks, such as Selenium Web-Driver.

• Familiarity with project management methodologies like Agile and Scrum.

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Experience using project tracking/project management tools, such as JIRA or Trello.
