Duties and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for maintenance/safety in gymnasium and supervising exercise programmed for members and guests.

• Reports for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and nametag at all times.

• Teaches aerobic classes to members and guests in accordance with the aerobic schedule.

• Works in close coordination with the Assistant Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the Gymnasium and aerobic room.

• Responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, cleanliness and safety in the gymnasium and aerobic room.

• Responsible for teaching any scheduled exercise classes that have been arranged by the Assistant Manager.

• Ensures that members and guests use the gymnasium and aerobic studio wearing the correct attire.

• Conducts a daily check of all exercise equipment in the gymnasium and records the repairs that are necessary as required by policy and procedures.

• Ensures that there is always a minimum of one instructor on duty on the gymnasium floor at all times.

• Maintains close contact with guests/members and communicates feedback from them regarding the operation of the gymnasium and aerobic room to the Assistant Manager as required.

• Conducts fitness evaluation/reassessments for members and guests on a regular basis with regards to the standards required.

• Conducts personal training referencing guidelines under Policy and Procedure.

• Conducts monthly fitness center activities.

Job Requirements

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in sports science or related fields

• Minimum 1-year work experience in the field or similar positions is advantageous.

• Excellent knowledge of products and services provided by the hotel.

• Must have superior English language skills to facilitate effective communication process.

• Must be highly flexible with working hours.
