Soufflet started its operation in Ethiopia in 2017 in the barley supply chain and commissioned its malt factory in Addis Ababa in April 2021.

Soufflet aims to source/buy 100% of its raw material locally which represents 80 000 tons per year.

MAIN MISSION

The Intake/Dispatch Operator main mission is to perform the reception of barley in bulk/bags and the expedition of malt in bulk/bags. The Intake/Dispatch Operator is also responsible of weighing of the trucks entering and leaving the plant. He/she is also responsible of the cleaning of the areas under his/her control and may perform some basic barley analysis and also will be responsible to do invoicing for all deliveries based on the specific product, customer, and Price. 

 MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Weight each truck entering and leaving the plant and records the information in the appropriate logbooks.

• Manage the flow of trucks at the reception and assign the truck driver to the correct intake area and monitor unloading.

• Manage the daily labours to have speedy unloading operations and ensure safe working conditions.

• Performs the reception of bulk barley in the appropriate barley silo.

• Ensure the proper tracking of each reception and expedition.

• Alerts the Silo Deputy in case of deviation.

• Manage the flow of trucks for the expedition of products (malt, by-products) and assign the truck driver to the correct expedition area and monitor correct loading.

• Perform the expedition of the by-products.

• Perform Invoicing for all deliveries based on the specific product, customer, and Price.

• Perform the expedition of malt in bulk, based on the customers’ requirements.

• Perform some basic barley analysis in barley lab if required.

• Identify and signal any technical deviation to the Maintenance Department.

• Participate to Improvement, Innovations, 5S, Lean….

• Perform any other duties as required by the line Managers or head of Department.

Job Requirements

Education:   BA Degree in Logistics, Accounting, Management and related business fields.  

Experience:  At least One year experience

Technical Skills:   

Use of computer programs  (word, excel , PowerPoint.)

Experience on use of weighbridge system and SAP will be advantageous.
