Job Description
Greek Community School in Addis Ababa is seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resource Manager to join our team in supporting our staff within the Cambridge Curriculum framework. As the Human Resource Manager, you will play a crucial role in recruiting, developing, and retaining talented individuals dedicated to our school's mission and the delivery of the Cambridge Curriculum.
Recruitment and Selection: Lead the recruitment process for academic and administrative staff, including advertising vacancies, conducting interviews, and making hiring decisions in alignment with the school's staffing needs and the requirements of the Cambridge Curriculum.
Onboarding and Orientation: Develop and oversee a comprehensive onboarding program for new hires, ensuring they are familiarized with the school's policies, procedures, and expectations, as well as the specifics of the Cambridge Curriculum.
Performance Management: Implement and manage performance evaluation systems for staff, providing support and guidance to supervisors and employees in setting goals, conducting evaluations, and addressing performance issues.
Professional Development: Coordinate professional development opportunities for staff, including training sessions, workshops, and conferences relevant to the Cambridge Curriculum, to support their ongoing growth and development.
Employee Relations: Serve as a point of contact for staff inquiries, concerns, and grievances, and work to resolve issues in a fair and timely manner, promoting a positive and supportive work environment.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and accreditation standards relevant to the education sector and the Cambridge Curriculum, keeping abreast of changes and updates as necessary.
Policy Development: Develop, review, and update HR policies and procedures to ensure they are aligned with best practices, legal requirements, and the unique needs of the school community.

Requirements:
Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in human resource management or a similar leadership position with a proven record of accomplishment of excellence and leadership, preferably in an educational setting.
Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations, particularly those relevant to the education sector.
Experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and professional development.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including staff, parents, and external partners.
Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resource Information Systems) and other relevant software applications.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.
