Position Overview:
As the Communication and Resource Mobilization Manager at DPO, you will be entrusted with a pivotal role in shaping the organization's narrative, enhancing its visibility, and securing essential resources for our humanitarian and development projects. You will lead the development and execution of comprehensive communication strategies, oversee external relations, and spearhead fundraising initiatives to ensure the sustainability and growth of our impactful programs. This role requires a dynamic leader with exceptional communication skills, strategic acumen, and a proven track record of successful resource mobilization within the non-profit sector. Provide visionary leadership and strategic direction in the development and execution of communication and resource mobilization strategies to advance DPO's mission and objectives.
Lead and inspire a team of communication and fundraising professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Cultivate and nurture relationships with donors, partners, government entities, and other stakeholders to build strategic alliances and secure support for DPO's initiatives.
Identify, cultivate, and leverage strategic partnerships to expand DPO's reach, influence, and impact, driving forward our collective mission for positive change.
Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies, leveraging diverse funding streams, including major gifts, grants, corporate partnerships, and individual donors, to ensure financial sustainability and growth.
Lead the development of compelling funding proposals, grant applications, and donor reports, ensuring alignment with donor priorities and organizational objectives.
Drive resource mobilization efforts by identifying and pursuing funding opportunities, cultivating donor relationships, and effectively communicating our impact and value proposition.
Oversee DPO's public relations activities, including media relations, press releases, and promotional campaigns, to amplify our message, enhance our visibility, and strengthen our reputation.
Develop and implement a comprehensive digital communication strategy, harnessing the power of digital channels and platforms to engage stakeholders, drive advocacy, and support fundraising efforts.
Establish robust monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to track the effectiveness of communication and resource mobilization efforts, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
BA/MA degree in Journalism & Communication, International Relations, English Language & Literature, or related field.
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in communication, fundraising, or resource mobilization, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
Demonstrated success in fundraising and resource mobilization, including securing grants, cultivating major donors, and developing innovative fundraising strategies.
Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and empower staff to achieve ambitious goals.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and represent the organization with credibility and professionalism.
Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, able to envision the big picture, set clear objectives, and drive impactful outcomes through effective planning and execution.
