We are seeking a Cleaner for the USAID/Ethiopia Learning Analytics Activity. The Cleaner will be a long-term position based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Position Summary:

The Cleaner supports daily project office activities by providing cleaning the office and tea/coffee services to the project staff. Through these efforts, s/he will ensure and maintain an efficient office environment.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

As cleaner for the Kaizen Ethiopia program, the employee is responsible for the following principles duties and responsibilities:

• Emptying waste bins, transporting waste material to designated collection points.

• Clean and mop office floors by using a variety of equipment and supplies.

• Wipe or wash or polish desks, chairs, ledges, window sills, cupboards, shelves and fitments and make sure that dusts are removed using appropriate cleaning materials.

• Wash toilets, urinals, hand basins, sinks, and drinking fountains and ensure they are sanitized properly.

• Replenish towels, soap and toilet paper in restrooms on a regular basis.

• Ensure that the office kitchen and equipment is properly cleaned and maintained.

• Prepare and make ready tea and coffee for project staff and guests.

• Make sure the availability of cleaning and tea/coffee supplies stock and order at the lead time.

• Follow all health and safety regulations.

• Carry out any other reasonable duties within the overall function of the job.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• High school graduated,

• Proven experience as a cleaner or in another role,

• Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills,

• Fluency in English and Amharic.

Experience:

• At least 2+ year of experience,
