The role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Import & Export Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating shipments, managing documentation, liaising with suppliers, customs officials, and freight forwarders, and resolving any issues that may arise during the import and export process.
Responsibilities
Manage the import and export process from start to finish, including coordinating shipments, preparing and processing documentation, and ensuring timely delivery.
Ensure compliance with all relevant import and export laws, regulations, and procedures.
Liaise with customs officials, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and other parties involved in the import and export process to facilitate smooth clearance and delivery of goods.
Maintain accurate records of import and export activities, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs clearance forms.
Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery and resolve any issues or delays that may arise.
Coordinate with internal departments, such as procurement, logistics, and finance, to ensure alignment of import and export activities with organizational objectives and requirements.
Stay informed about changes in import and export regulations, tariffs, and trade agreements and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
Identify opportunities to optimize import and export processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
Handle inquiries and provide support to internal and external stakeholders regarding import and export-related matters.
Assist in the development and implementation of import and export policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency infomindsolutions.net

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in International Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field
Manage the import and export process from start to finish, including coordinating shipments, preparing and processing documentation, and ensuring timely delivery.
In-depth knowledge of import and export regulations, customs procedures, and international trade practices.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Proficiency in using import and export documentation software and Microsoft Office applications.
