Job Description

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:  Handle customer calls inquiries pertaining to room reservations, with a focus on revenue maximization and to achieve budgeted and forecasted targets. To maintain high level of guest telephone contact skills while promoting the hotel through excellent selling and communication skills by complying with the reservation standards and codes of Marriott International at all times. To achieve an optimal level of occupancy and average room rate to best yield revenue and ensure budgeted targets are met by utilizing effective up selling techniques and being fully conversant with all market segment and rate plans together with special rate and packages.

Job Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: In order to be considered for this position, applicants must possess the following minimum qualifications.  Applicants without the below listed qualifications need not apply as they will not be considered in the competitive pool. 

EDUCATION: Diploma in Business studies, Hospitality field is required. 

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years experience in sales/promotion activities/customer handling with excellent interpersonal skills is required. 

LANGUAGE PROFICIENCY: Excellent working knowledge of English language is required.  Other language ability is desired.       

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job.

·         Fluent in English language verbal and written.

·         Must possess good computer application in Microsoft Office

·         Excellent knowledge of products and services provided by the hotel.

·         Good organizational and planning skills.

·         Ability to work with minimum supervision and handle multiple assignments.

·         Must be highly flexible with working hours.

 LICENSES OR CERTIFICATES:  Certificate of computer and/or hands-on computer experience.
