Job Description

Under the supervision of Office Administration Manager execute proper management of the canteen, utilities (water, electricity, drainage, etc.), supply and maintenance of canteen equipment and smalls, cleanliness of canteen, cafeteria services to offices and other related services.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Controls daily meals consumption at canteen.

  • Control eligibility of canteen services.

  • Check and verify payment of canteen to the supplier according to the daily consumption records.

  • Manage distribution of bottled and jar water to the canteen users and to different offices.

  • Manage the proper use of canteen equipment and timely repair and/or replacement.

  • Work on recommendations, complaints and opinions that may arise from canteen users and supplier to provide solution for the improvement of the canteen services.

  • Control and manage the supply of water and electricity to canteen and coffee corners.

  • Check and request maintenance for damages, drainage blockages and cleanliness of canteen, hand wash areas, inside and outside area of canteen and coffee corners.

  • Controls all incoming food items (vegetables, meet, oil, flour of injera and bread) for their cleanliness and especially to ensure meet is supplied from accredited butchery.

  • Controls storage of food items to prevent long time stay and proper storage in accordance with nature of food items.

  • Manages supply of refreshments (tea, coffee, water etc.,) for all employees and report consumption.

  • Responsible for the supply of cafeteria supplies and services in all coffee corners.

  • Responsible to provide refreshments for meetings ahead of start of the meeting.

  • Ensure and oversee proper disinfection and cleaning of dishes, glasses, spoons, forks, coffee and teacups by the agents.

  • Responsible for overall cleanliness of canteen and coffee corners including employees working in both locations for regular health check-up and health certification.

  • Manage canteen services and cafeteria services providers.

Others:

  • Manage various tasks and projects as they arise and upon manager’s request.

Job Requirements

Educational Background:

  • College Diploma and above in any field.

Work Experience:

  • 2 years and above in Hotel or Cafeteria Management .
