Job Description

Designs, implements, and refines product development, testing, and manufacturing processes. Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel. Leads teams in the development of new products, solutions, and processes. Oversees project logistics and resource allocation.

Duties & Responsibilities

Planning

  • Ensure that sections and projects develop in time weekly, monthly, quarterly (project & HO level), and an annual plan (HO level).

  • Ensure that the various work units and projects are guided by plans developed.
    Coordinate the preparation of projects monthly requisition of cash budget and material requirements.

Coordinating/Directing

  • Coordinate the management functions of the Department and Projects in such a way that, among others, resources are effectively and efficiently utilized, jobs are done in time, clients are satisfied, conflicts are minimized and managed, information is available and communication between Head Office and Projects is properly maintained.

  • Sharing company resource in case of resource limitation.

  • Forwarding and distributing all works which is initial from different department immediately by keeping chain of communication.

  • Solving machinery, budget & material purchase issues by communicating with supporting staffs.

  • Understanding staffs in their suffer and giving them immediate solution as a humanity.

  • Develop motivation of staffs to let them work by keeping their mental & personal safety.

  • Ensure that the necessary resources - human, material, finance, and machinery are available for projects in a coordinated manner.

  • Provide direction to staff under him/her in a good manner way.

Supervision

  • Ensure that work units/Projects implement their plans of action as required.

  • See to it that projects are accomplishing their jobs as per schedules developed and approved.

  • Appraise the performance of staff under his/her direct supervision.

  • Make sure that policies and procedures are implemented.

  • Promote quality and cost-consciousness among the department staff and throughout projects.

  • Present weekly project progress at Management meetings.

Managing Relationships

  • Makes sure that relationships are managed appropriately with clients, sub-contractors, among the department staff, and project to ensure the promotion and maintenance of good image of the Company, achievement of vision and healthy working environment.

Reporting

  • Develop/review reporting systems

  • Produce weekly, monthly, quarterly (project & HO level) and annual reports (HO level). And also produces and send report feedbacks to projects.

  • Undertake review and analysis of project reports.

  • Keep the informed about achievements, progress, challenges and plans.

  • Produce and analyze end-of project reports.

Technical activities

  • Under the general direction of the Engineering function direct, co-ordinate, and implement the plans and programs of the project. Is responsible and accountable for the execution of the works according to the required quality, cost and time.

  • Based on the approved master plan and program of the project, prepares detail construction work, material, labor and equipment schedules and implements.

  • Apraises periodically the progress and effectiveness of the project operating and takes remedial actions, and where appropriate recommends improvement, direct, organizes, coordinates, supervises and administers the project activities in accordance with the established rules, regulations and procedures of the firm.

  • Ensure the preparation of change order when applicable and obtains approval from client or consultant, investigate and ensures data that will justify all force measures, claims (cost and time), and method of construction and shop drawings communicates and the same and appropriate action were taken by consultants.

  • Ensures material production and prefabrication on project site meets the required quantity, quality and standards.

  • Ensures material request and delivery schedule submitted by projects are correct by comparing with head office material schedule.

  • Ensure the preparation of payment certificates for sub-contractor works and approve their work which were signed the agreement by the Head Office.

  • Evaluates the performance of sub-contractors. Lists the name of firms who carried out similar sub-contract works before, and invites prospective sub-contractors

  • Ensure the handling of contract documents and drawings safely and properly.

  • Ensure and follow up the timely preparation and approval of design clarifications, shop drawings, alternative proposal and As-built drawings.

  • Performs other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

  • Ensuring and auditing the sustainability of documentations of file casually

Safety

  • Ensuring that all the staff under department are fully equipped with PPE (personal protective equipment) during site visit.

  • All other duties as required or needed

Job Requirements

  • Qualification:- BSC/MSC Degree Civil Engineering/COTM / or in a related field of study

  • Work Experience:- 8-10 years related work experience.
