Dar Al-Handasah Consultants (Shair and Partners) is a privately-owned international multidisciplinary consulting organization in engineering, architecture, planning ,environment, project and construction management, facilities management and economics, founded in 1956, its principal design head office and technical support facilities are located in Beirut, Lebanon; Cairo, Egypt; London, UK; Pune, India; and Amman, Jordan; with a network of 47 permanent local branch offices  throughout the Middle East, Africa Asia and Europe of which 23 are on the African continent.

Planning Engineers interpret building designs and add technical specifications to construction projects. They integrate engineering principles into the designs to ensure that structures are safe and resistant. They work together with architects and engineers to transform design ideas into executable plans.

Job Requirements

Degree/experience /skills

  • University degree in engineering having min 10 years of experience in construction management/planning with contract background as advantage

  • MS Project, Primavera P6 , MS Office 

Professional qualifications :

  •  Review/comment on the program in terms of its links between activities, critical path and phasing/interfacing .

  • Study /analysis of extension of time due to delay events and/or changes to the scope of works.

  • Re-structuring the program into sections/parts in order to assessing the impact of any event/change on each section/part.

  • Investigations of delays attributable to the Contractor /concurrent delays

  • Impacted as-planned analysis technique , by inserting all delay events/changes  (Inserting a fragnet of each delay event) into the baseline or as-planned program for determining /quantifying the impacts of these events/changes on the overall completion and the respective responsibility as apportioned between the Employer and the Contractor , resulting in final conclusion of excusable , compensable  and non-excusable delays.
