Job Description

Job Mission

  • The Senior HR Officer is responsible for the overall administrative activities in Holland Dairy and assists with the recruitment process by identifying candidates, performing reference checks, and issuing employment contracts. And Manage Administrative staff.

 Main Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Manages all staff movement (i.e., Recruitment, Promotion, and Transfer) at all sites.

  •  Advises departments on their current staffing needs and forecasts.

  •  Based on the standard set, edit the format for new vacancies/JDs received

  •  responsible person in preparing office space, computers, and other reequipment before the arrival of the new staff.

  • Conduct reference checks and forward the feedback to the hiring manager.

  •  Prepare job offer letters, and employment contracts and ensure that all staff filled out the required forms for employment.

  •  Provide orientation on HR policies & procedures.

  • Ensure all staff has specific roles and received performance evaluation as per the timeline.

  • Proper documentation of performance evaluation results.

  • Maintain updated & secured staff information and personnel files.

  • Keeps and updates staff leave records. 

  • Monitor employee attendance with the department manager.

  • Completing termination paperwork and assisting with exit interviews. 

  • Ensuring the HR team addresses the requests and complaints of employees in a timely manner.

  • Perform other duties as per the instruction of the department manager. 

 Authority

  • Check and validate recruitment requests if it’s planned or budgeted

  • Review, comment and approve weekly and monthly recruitment, staff movement reports, and internal and external vacancies

  •  Propose salaries as per the company’s salary guideline 

Department: HR

Reports to: HR Manager.

Job Requirements

 Education

  • Minimum of BA Degree in Accounting and Finance from a recognized university.

 Experience

  •  At least 4 years’ experience

  • Certification in Talent Management or any other areas of HR fields is an advantage.

General Competencies

  • Communication, Problem Solving. Team Player, Multitasking, Organization, and planning 

Language

  •   Professional speaker in English and Amharic require for the job

  • Other Ethiopian languages are advantageous to perform the job.
