Job Description

Sun Optical Technologies Plc, is a pioneer and leading eye-wear products manufacturer and distributor company in Ethiopia. The company supplies lenses and frames to eye clinics, optical shops, hospitals and NGOs.

The Key Account Officer shall maintain and develop relationships with important clients. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to ensure positive working relationships with key accounts. The Key Account Officer should maintain a positive relationship with relevant decision makers and purchasers to make sure our products are on every available opportunity. The Key Account Officer's responsibilities include: growing the company's revenue by ensuring that key clients are satisfied with the services provided, identifying new business opportunities for key clients and attending all meetings, conventions, and training workshops. They will also be able to develop relationships with potential clients. To be a successful Key Account Officer you should be able to analyze data and sales statistics, as well as be able to improve business and marketing strategies. In this role, you will work closely with the production and customer services team

Responsibilities: 

  • Developing and sustaining solid relationships with key clients 

  • Addressing and resolving key client complaints. 

  • Acting as the main point of contact between key clients and internal teams. 

  • Collaborating with the advertising, design, marketing, sales, and logistics departments to ensure the needs of the key client are met. 

  • Compiling reports on account progress, goals, and forecasts for account teams and stakeholders. 

  • Developing a thorough understanding of key client needs and requirements. 

  • Preparing customized solutions. 

  • Negotiating contracts with key clients and meeting established deadlines for the fulfillment of each client's long-term goals. 

  • Identification of market potentials, as well as observation and analysis of the market and competition. • Focus on getting our products as the preferred ones. 

  • Active participation in events and fairs. 

  •  Creating a target customer strategy. 

Report to: General Manager, Sun Optical Technologies PLC

Job Requirements

Qualification:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, or any other related field.

  • Experience working for an Ophthalmic Optics company (preferrable)

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and CRM software. 

  • Ability to build rapport with key clients. 

  • Ability to handle multiple client accounts. 

  • Negotiation, customer service, and communication skills. 

  • Professional experience in B2B sales. 

  • Excellent communication skills, negotiation skills and a resilient nature. 

  • Ability to work well in a team and ability to make your own decisions. 

  • Excellent presentation skills. 

  • Proficient in English. Additional languages are an advantage

  •  Willingness to travel up to 40% of your work schedule.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years proven key accounts management experience
