We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Logistics Manager to oversee all aspects of our logistics operations. The Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing the transportation, warehousing, and inventory processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Fulfilment: Ensure accurate and timely processing of orders from receipt through to delivery. Work closely with warehouse teams to streamline picking, packing, and shipping processes.

  • Last Mile Delivery Optimization: Develop and implement strategies to enhance the efficiency and reliability of last mile delivery services. Focus on reducing delivery times, minimising costs, and improving customer satisfaction.

  • Cost Management: Develop budgets and monitor operational costs, seeking ways to reduce expenses without compromising quality or customer satisfaction.

  • Customer Service: Collaborate with customer service teams to resolve any logistics-related issues promptly. Implement strategies to enhance the delivery experience for customers.

  • Technology Utilisation: Leverage our in-house logistics module to track deliveries, optimise routes, and manage the delivery fleet. Ensure the technology is used to its full potential to enhance operational efficiency. Communicate with the Technology Team to further develop the app

  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain effective communication channels with warehouse staff, delivery teams, and other internal departments to ensure a seamless operation. Address any logistical challenges swiftly and collaboratively.

  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing logistics team capable of meeting the demands of a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

Other Duties;

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to support the company's growth and expansion plans.

  • Coordinate and optimise transportation routes to ensure timely delivery of goods to customers.

  • Manage relationships with transportation providers, negotiating rates and contracts as needed.

  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the efficiency and effectiveness of logistics operations.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings within the logistics function.

  • Collaborate with other departments, including procurement, sales, and customer service, to ensure seamless coordination of logistics activities.

  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and safety standards in all logistics operations.

  • Lead and mentor a team of logistics professionals, providing guidance and support to achieve departmental goals.

  • Oversee the management and maintenance of the company's fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are in optimal condition for delivery operations.

  • Develop and implement fleet management policies and procedures to optimise vehicle utilisation, minimise downtime, and reduce operating costs.

  • Monitor fuel consumption, vehicle maintenance, and repair expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities and ensure compliance with budgetary constraints.

  • Coordinate with vehicle suppliers and service providers to schedule maintenance and repairs, ensuring minimal disruption to delivery schedules.

  • Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

Job Requirements

Qualification

  •  Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field

  •  Proven experience 4 years in logistics management.

  • Strong understanding of transportation, warehousing, and inventory management principles.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve logistics challenges.

  • Proficiency in logistics software and tools, such as transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS).

  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

  •  Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality in logistics operations.

  •  Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and adapt to changing priorities and requirements.

  •  Knowledge of regulatory requirements and safety standards related to logistics operations.

  •  Certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.
