Product Owner - bridge between our development team and project manager. You will leverage your deep understanding of the Ethiopian ERP landscape and project management tools / methodologies, to  deliver the vision of our ERP product.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the business analyst to translate the requirements into user stories and product features. 

• Prioritize the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business goals and customer needs. 

• Own the product roadmap, defining the vision and direction of our ERP offering. 

• Work closely with the development team to breakdown user stories into actionable tasks and ensure clear acceptance criteria. 

• Manage Jirra Boards and other project management tools to track progress, identify roadblocks, and ensure timely project delivery.

• Develop user manuals and other documentation to ensure user understanding and successful product adoption.

• Conduct user acceptance testing and gather feedback to continuously improve the product.

• Ensure adherence to data protections regulations when collecting, storing and reporting on user data within the ERP system.

Evaluation and Review

• Your performance will be reviewed regularly to assess your contributions to the team and the success of the ERP product. Here are some of the key performance indicators (KPIs) that will be considered: Technical and Functional Knowledge, Product Backlog Management, Project Delivery, User Adoption, Team Collaboration, etc.

Job Requirements

 Education and Experience

• Preferred: Masters degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field. 

• Required: 5-6 years of experience working as a Product Owner in the Ethiopian ERP space. 

• Required: Proven track record of successfully delivering and managing ERP projects using agile methodologies ( Scrum, Kanban). 

• Required: In-depth knowledge of open-source ERP platforms, particularly in the Ethiopian context. 

• Required : Experience in developing user manuals and technical documentation.
