Deputy ICT Department Managers coordinate ICT services and infrastructure ensuring that the organisation has the required infrastructural resources. They also plan and monitor stages of either a business process or a computer process, negotiate contracts and take mitigation action in case of non-fulfilment of agreements.

Duties and Responsibilites:

Leads the implementation of IT policies and procedures in the company.

• Project development and follow up of new solutions depending on company needs.

• Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments.

• Maintains staff by coaching, orienting, and training employees, maintaining a safe and secure work environment, developing personal growth opportunities.

• Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.

• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems.

• Ensure data integrity on application software.

• Communicates with the different business units for any ICT supported business activities and follows-up the issues through to completion.

• Oversee the design, selection and implementation of Information Technology applications and support infrastructures.

• Guides and coordinates activities related to selection, acquisition, development, and installation of major information systems while managing all information technology vendor relationships.

• Assesses/analyses the need for and implements performance upgrades to PCs including installation of new hardware or software on an individual or large-scale basis.

• Develops ICT budget, monitors expenditures and makes adjustment on the budget as applicable.

• Oversees and reviews outsourced service delivery in ICT area, participates in improving the outsourcing processes, conducts regular review meetings to resolve identified issues and introduces improvements

Job Requirements

Degree in computer sciences, Computer engineering, Information Technology, Information Technology Management, Information System

 More than 5 Years total experience with 2 Years in a managerial position
