Job Brief:

PuposeBlack, Ethiopia is seeking an experienced Director of Operations for the upcoming BEE Channel (Black Economy Excellence) media production,

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Develop and oversee operational strategies to ensure the efficient functioning of the media production company.

• Manage budgeting, resource allocation, and performance evaluation to optimize operational efficiency.

• Lead and mentor a team of staff members to maintain high productivity, creativity, and quality standards in media production operations.

• Represent the company in external meetings, conferences, and events to build relationships and promote operational excellence.

• Collaborate with key stakeholders, partners, clients, and industry experts to achieve operational objectives and drive growth.

• Prepare and present reports to senior management, stakeholders, and other relevant parties to provide updates on operational performance.

• Conduct interviews with media outlets, journalists, and industry experts to promote operational initiatives and projects.

• Implement policies, procedures, and initiatives to enhance operational effectiveness, innovation, and competitiveness in the media production field.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 +years of experience in the media industry.

• The ideal candidate should be fluent in English, possess strong writing and communication skills

• have the ability to present reports conduct interviews, and implement strategies effectively.

• Strong leadership and management skills to effectively lead an operational team and drive organizational success.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English to facilitate effective communication with stakeholders and team members.

• Proficiency in presenting reports and conducting interviews to showcase operational achievements and initiatives.

• Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities to navigate operational challenges and capitalize on opportunities.

• Financial acumen and budget management experience to ensure financial sustainability and growth of operational activities.

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and deliver high- quality media productions.

• Knowledge of media industry trends and best practices to stay competitive and drive operational innovation.

• Experience in implementing strategies and initiatives to enhance operational performance and drive growth in the media production sector.
