Job Description

Works on prevention, diagnosis and treats patients who are suffering from eye injuries or diseases such as cataracts, glaucoma etc. 

 Specific Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct vision tests

  • Evaluate and record visual activity and ocular functions

  • Collect patient medical histories

  • Carry out patient assessments before and after eye surgery

  • Assist surgical team during eye surgery

  • Instruct and educate patients how to properly care for eye injuries or disorders at home

  • Administer medications

  • Conduct fittings for glasses and contact lenses

  • Accompany the outreach team for remote health education, screening, onsite treatment, and referral services.

  • Performs other similar duties as assigned by  the immediate super visor

 Required number: one

Job Requirements

Qualification

  • Diploma in clinical nurse and trained and certified as an Ophthalmic Nurse

Experience

  • 2 years and above

Required Skills

  • Practical skill in eye service
