Job Description

About the Project:  

Enhancing the DFS information flow through innovative channels, is a three-year Bill and Melinda Gates foundation funded project aiming to increase the understanding and usage of digital financial services (DFS) in Ethiopia, with an ultimate objective to facilitate financial inclusion, particularly in underserved rural areas, by harnessing digital technologies. The project focuses on developing a unified knowledge base, supporting the provision of relevant DFS to end users, and fostering trust in the use of DFS in rural and semi-rural populations.

Job Summary

As a Digital Marketer, you will be integral in leading the department that will take on the tasks of developing a smart and interesting digital campaign for management and execution for the company.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:  

  • Preparing and carrying out digital campaigns and strategies 

  • Research advertising trends. 

  • Decide on the appropriate placement of ads.  

  • Determine what content will reach customers.  

  • Make sure designs developed by the creative meets the standard.  

  • Publishing digital marketing content online  

  • Implement email marketing campaigns.  

  • Measure digital traffic.  

  • Monitor social media and Google Analytics.

  • Optimize paid advertisings using SEO and other tools.  

  • Report on the growth and analytics of campaigns to stakeholders.  

  • Scale campaigns to maximize ROI. 

  • Monitor project status and budget.  

  • Conduct market research to inform campaigns.  

  • Brainstorm and implement experiments and conversion tests.

Job Requirements

Position Requirements:  

  • 2+ Years of Experience in Digital Marketing

  • Experience executing paid social media campaigns

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business

  • Knowledge of video and picture editing software such as Adobe

  • Must be able to juggle multiple projects at the same time

  • Incredible attention to detail

  • Full understanding of all social media platforms

  • Problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of content management systems
