With this we are looking to hire Podcast Editor and Content Creator that will play a pivotal role in producing high-quality podcast episodes, engaging multimedia content, and capturing video content that meets our standards for quality and consistency. This position involves editing and enhancing audio and video recordings, creating compelling graphics and videos, video recording for various projects, and ensuring all content aligns with our brand and audience expectations.

About the Project:  

Enhancing the DFS information flow through innovative channels, is a three-year Bill and Melinda Gates foundation funded project aiming to increase the understanding and usage of digital financial services (DFS) in Ethiopia, with an ultimate objective to facilitate financial inclusion, particularly in underserved rural areas, by harnessing digital technologies. The project focuses on developing a unified knowledge base, supporting the provision of relevant DFS to end users, and fostering trust in the use of DFS in rural and semi-rural populations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Podcast Editing and Enhancement:

• Edit raw audio recordings to ensure clarity, consistency, and overall quality.

• Enhance video recordings by editing footage, adding transitions, graphics, and other visual elements.

• Sync audio and video tracks to produce polished podcast episodes for audio and video platforms.

• Incorporate music, sound effects, and visual enhancements to support storytelling and engagement.

Content Creation and Video Recording:

• Create visually appealing graphics, videos, and other multimedia content that aligns with our brand.

• Develop engaging content for Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube.

• Record high-quality video content for various projects, ensuring technical and aesthetic standards are met.

• Collaborate with the podcast team to repurpose podcast episodes into short-form content for social media.

Quality Assurance and Technical Support:

• Conduct thorough reviews of edited episodes, videos, and recordings to ensure quality.

• Coordinate with the team to implement feedback and revisions efficiently.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to recording, editing, or publishing. .

Job Requirements

Position Requirements:

• Proven experience in audio and video editing, content creation, graphic design, and video recording.

• Proficiency with editing and recording software (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, Audacity, and DSLR or mirrorless cameras).

• Creative mindset with a strong sense of storytelling and audience engagement.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

• Familiarity with social media trends and best practices.
