Job Description

Job Purpose:

  • To advise on financial and contractual issues relating to bills of quantities provided in relation to material supplied for construction projects.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Draw up contracts specifying nature and quantity of raw materials required,

  • Review tenders received and advice contract admin team on which to accept,

  • Draw up detailed cost plans and advise site engineers on the limits they must work to in terms of quantity and quality,

  • Keep client informed of project costs and discuss and agree any proposed variation,

  • Measure and value work in progress to ensure that it is within the agreed parameters,

  • Measure and value completed project and authorize payment provided the contract is within the agreed specifications,

  • Maintain an awareness of developments in the field of quantity,

  • Perform other duties assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Skills

  • BSc or MSc in Surveying or related field of studies

Experience

  • 5years for BSc

  • 3years for MSc

Skills:

  • Analytical skills

  • Communication skills
