As the Focal Person for the HRA project, the Senior Food Security Programme Officer will be responsible for the overall backstopping of the project team, ensuring the quality and timely delivery of the project's intended outputs and outcomes through providing guidance and assistance in processes of planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of the project being implemented in the South and Central Ethiopia Regions. He/she will be the main resource person for interventions in such areas as food security, nutrition sensitive agriculture, conservation-based farming, resilient livelihoods, on-off farm-based value chains, and the like. In close coordination with the project team, other organizational functions, and stakeholders, he/ she ensures that all HRA project activities and related assignments are implemented in ways that meet expectations.

Job Requirements

• MSc/MA degree in Agriculture, Nutrition, Environmental Science, Developmental Studies, and related fields.

• Minimum of 10 years proven and relevant work experience. NGO experience with strong exposure to food security and livelihoods programmes, advantageous.
