Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
Hardware and Software Support: Provide first-line support for all office hardware including computers, printers, and networking devices. Troubleshoot software issues and maintain optimal operational efficiency.
Training and System Support: Facilitate user training sessions for the Hansa system and other office applications to ensure all employees are proficient and comfortable using these
System Customization and Management: Collaborate with the Hansa provider to implement necessary customization and adjustments to the system based on user feedback and systematic reviews.
Communication System Oversight: Set up, manage, and maintain communication systems for seafarers, including mobile and email communication platforms. Oversee the implementation of a mobile database for seafarers to facilitate reliable and permanent
Network Infrastructure Management: Ensure stable and secure network operations including internet connectivity, LAN, and WiFi configurations. Maintain routers and server systems to support office and remote operations.
Vendor and Relationship Management: Act as the liaison with IT service providers and vendors, managing contracts and overseeing the execution of services and updates.
Job Requirement
Educational and Experience Requirements
Education: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in an IT support role, with a solid understanding of network administration, hardware troubleshooting, and software
Key Competencies and Skills
Technical Skills: Proficiency in managing Windows/Linux operating systems, office software, and familiarity with network administration.
System Knowledge: Experience with or the ability to quickly learn the Hansa system and other proprietary software used within the company.
Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities to effectively convey technical guidance and information to non-technical team members.
Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving skills and the capability to diagnose and resolve IT issues swiftly.
Personal Attributes: Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneous
