Company Overview

DAYE BENSA Coffee is one of major coffee exporting companies in Ethiopia exporting green coffee directly from its own farms and farms of affiliated farmers. We export various coffee from all coffee regions of different grades from conventional to specialty with more than 20 years in the coffee business.

Responsibility 

  • Responsible for preparing and processing all necessary import documentation, including purchase orders, applying LC, shipping documents, customs declarations, and other relevant paperwork. 

  • Understanding of import regulations, tariffs, duties, and customs procedures related to import goods. 

  • Work closely with customs authorities to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including obtaining necessary permits or licenses.

  •  Sourcing suppliers from different countries to provide the goods and services we need to run our business.

  • Monitoring shipment schedules, tracking the movement of goods and declare the goods after arriving port.

  • Responsible for managing import-related financial processes, such as processing payments, tracking import costs, and preparing import-related financial reports. 

  •  Working closely with the finance or accounting department to ensure accurate record-keeping and budget management.

  •  Staying up-to-date with import regulations, trade policies, and industry trends is essential.

  • Efficiently managing the importation process, coordinating with various stakeholders, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining the smooth flow of goods imports 

Report to: Import manager

Type: permanent with probation period

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • BA Degree in logistics Supply Chain Management, Business Management or in a related

Experience

  • Above 2 years of experience in imports duties, preferably in import  areas.  

Skills

  • Good analytical and critical-thinking skills

  • A good understanding of local market operations

  • Good ICT skills 

  • Good understanding of the country import procedure and regulations
