We are currently seeking an  A mining engineer of is responsible for planning and overseeing mining operations to ensure the efficient extraction of minerals from the earth. This includes designing and implementing mining plans, conducting feasibility studies, and optimizing production processes. The engineer is also responsible for ensuring the safety of workers and compliance with environmental regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

 - Develop and implement mining plans and schedules to meet production targets

- Conduct feasibility studies to evaluate the economic viability of mining projects

- Design and oversee the construction of mining infrastructure, such as tunnels, shafts, and processing plants

- Monitor and optimize production processes to maximize efficiency and minimize costs

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations

- Manage and supervise a team of mining technicians and operators

- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address any potential safety or environmental hazards

- Collaborate with geologists, surveyors, and other mining professionals to optimize production and resource recovery

- Prepare reports and presentations on mining operations, including production data, costs, and safety performance

- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in mining engineering

-Reporting to the Head of operations, mining and supply chain for Coal.

Job Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in mining engineering or a related field

- 2+ years of experience in mining engineering or a related field

- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in mining software and equipment

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

- Strong communication and leadership abilities

- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in the mining industry

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment
