The Group Financial and Business Controlling Manager is responsible for overseeing financial planning, budgeting, costing, and variance analysis processes across East African Holding SC and its subsidiary companies operating in diverse business sectors. This role oversees cost control, efficient stock management, and proper inventory disposal, with a focus on enhancing operational efficiency. Responsibilities include providing insightful management reports, coordinating business control activities, evaluating KPIs, and delivering accurate financial reports to support informed decision-making

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and mentor the financial planning and controlling department

• Develop and oversee financial planning processes including budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis

• Manage and coordinate planning and business control activities in all subsidiary companies

• Responsible for periodic management report coordination and consolidation

• Coordinate the preparation of budgets for variable costs and fixed costs of East African Holding SC and its subsidiary companies

• Responsible for variance analysis, profitability analysis, trend analysis, budget vs. actual analysis, and evaluating KPIs.

• Assure cost analysis and contribution margin are properly done

• Ensure proper periodic inventory reconciliation and the accuracy of the moving average cost of stock

• Ensure and control the efficient and accuracy of company warehouse and inventory management.

• Plan and control surprise physical stock count, Control stock adjustment and disposal process

•  Responsible to provide for all financial management information required for strategic business decision (capital investments, pricing decision and contact negotiation…

• Provide insightful financial analysis to support decision making and drive business performance

• Evaluate KPIs and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

• prepare management reports timely and accurate financial reports including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements

• Collaborate with department heads to develop and track departmental budgets and performance targets

• Provide leadership and guidance to the financial planning and controlling team, and promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement

•  Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including senior management, department heads, and management of subsidiary companies across the East African holding SC

• Keep the confidentiality of financial information

• Perform other tasks assigned by the Group CFO. 

Job Requirements

• Proven experience in area of Business control, management accounting, cost and budget, financial reporting and financial management, with a minimum of 10 years of experience for Master degree or 12 years of experience for Bachler of science which 4 years should be at senior management level or managerial role in similar sector.

  • Master’s degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance and Business Administration or related field

  •  Practical experience in accounting software’s 

  •  Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft applications,

  •  Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

  •   Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  •    Strong team leadership and time management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
