OBJECTIVES
To create a design that retains the functionality of an office while adding the components of a counseling room.
To maximize the utilization of available space ensuring it is utilized optimally for both functions.
To deliver a room set-up that possesses a calm and serene environment suited for counseling sessions, while retaining professional ambience necessary for office operations.
SCOPE OF THE DESIGN WORK:
First Consult is looking for a Renovation Contractor to renovate/redesign an existing room Measurement 5.20 M X 4.25 M in the office to a therapy office with the aim to develop a conducive, welcoming and aesthetically pleasing environment that would facilitate effective interaction and therapy sessions. The contractor will be responsible for the renovation of an existing office into a multifunctional space that will serve both as a counseling room and an office setup.
The renovation contractor will be responsible for:
Assessing the current condition of the office space and create work schedule/plans for renovation according to the given timeframes. Assessment of the present infrastructure and space – measuring dimensions, understanding the layout, and marking any potential challenges.
Propose a design layout – this includes furniture, lighting, fixtures, wall partitions, and color schemes. The design should balance the functionalities of an office and counseling room.
Redesigning of interior for the chosen space to accommodate therapy sessions (with appropriate and pre-arranged site visit).
Implementing practical solutions for maximum comfort, privacy, and ease of movement. This may include soundproofing, natural lighting, etc.
Implementing Research-based design insights for therapists' offices. Ensuring the design elements promote the well-being of the clients.
Procurement of material required.
Oversee the work ensuring that the renovation is completed within stipulated time.
Ensure that the new setup is safe, balanced, and meets the specified requirements.
This may include leafy plants, tranquil colors, etc.
Final specifications, designs, and BOQs (priced): Review and approval of the final specifications and design are required prior to the commencement of physical work, based on First Consult comments and changes made during the design development stage.
Clean-up after completion of renovation.
TIMELINE
The contractor is expected to complete the renovation within 7 days once the renovation contractor has been selected and awarded.
BUDGET
The total budget allocated for the renovation should be clearly stated and the contractor is expected to provide a breakdown of costs for potential activities. Cost Estimation – arriving at the total cost of renovation considering material, labor, and any other charges.
REPORTING AND COMMUNICATION
The renovation contractor will provide regular updates on the progress of the project. The report should include the status of the tasks compared to the agreed schedule and any challenges or issues encountered directly to workplace wellness officer.
A Bachelor or Master’s degree in architecture, interior design or related fields that demonstrate awareness of design principles, construction standards, and space utilization.
An extensive portfolio that showcases previous work in relevant spaces, particularly therapy or health-related offices.
Registered Business License.
Relevant experience in office and room renovation duties in a professional setting.
Demonstrated ability to stay within budget while meeting client expectations.
Proven track record of completing jobs on time.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
