Pepsico/ Senselet Food Processing is a potato processing company in Ethiopia producing potato chips. It has been set up in accordance with European standards and knowledge and produces high quality potato crisps, branded as Sun Chips, that are sold locally in the Ethiopian market.

About the Role

The Fleet Mechanic/Auto mechanic Performs skilled work in the maintenance and repair of forklifts, light duty vehicles and automotive machinery and equipment. 

Duties and Responsibilities

• Removes, repairs, installs engines, transmissions, and differentials of company vehicles such as forklifts, small company cars. 

•  Inspects, adjusts, and replaces component parts of gasoline engines, including valves, pistons, gears, and bearings. 

• Inspects, adjusts, and check component parts of electrical forklift, including battery, wheel and bearings.

•  Inspects, adjusts, and replaces component parts of diesel engines, including rods, plugs, valves, pistons, and crankshafts. 

•  Repairs oil, water, and fuel pump systems. 

•  Cleans, repairs, and adjusts fuel injection systems. 

•  Removes, repairs, and installs hydraulic pumps and systems. 

•  Relines brakes, fits, and adjusts brakes systems. 

Job Requirements

Education:

• Minimum of Level IV in Automotive / Mechanical Engineering, Strong knowledge of automotive maintenance skill concepts, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems. Possess a valid driver’s license.

Experience:

• 1-2 years relevant work experience in a garage, truck, forklift  or service station or any other equivalent combination of experience and training.

• Entrepreneurial skills: Proven ability and experience to learn about new developments in your field, flexible and autonomous working, leading by example and hands-on mentality.

• Soft skills: Able to speak, read and write in English, Able to use and utilize MS office applications and be able to work on ERPs
