Project Follow-up Engineer Manage the Design process through different project stages to ensure compliance of project designs with time, cost, and quality requirements for the assigned Projects; and proper achievement of their project vision.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepares and get approval of working drawing as per the actual site measurement and based on the approved working drawing prepare master take off for procuring required material.

• Prepare the work methodology, project startup and closing action plans for the implementation of project plan

• Prepares project master work schedule, annual schedule, monthly schedule, weekly schedule, daily action plan of the project.

• Communicates with project sites daily on the progress of works and any material, equipment and labor needed on site that needs to be fulfilled.

• Evaluate and monitor operational aspects of the projects by reports and periodic supervision by communicating with project engineers.

• Evaluate and coordinate proper resource utilization of projects weekly by communicating with project engineers.

• Updates project status by communicating with project engineers

• Undertake project site visit on a scheduled basis in discussion with the project engineers

• Prepare and report site visit output check list to the project.

• Follow up purchase materials

• Follow up the delivery of materials to projects

• Encode the purchased& delivered quantities and checks the balance

• Assesses potential subcontractors based on the companies list of subcontractors and from the evaluation feedback which are forwarded from the project.

• Prepares price comparison to compare the subcontractors’ price with that of company’s unit price to ensure the profitability.

• Updates list of potential subcontractors

• Prepares sub-contract agreement as per the final approved price and agreement template

• Prepares appropriate Advance payment based on the sub-contract agreement term of payment

• Checks the takeoff sheet sent from project and prepares their respective interim payment certificates.

• Send copy of final signed sub- contract agreement and Advance payment certificate

• Prepare weekly and monthly reports of different projects

• Daily follow up on the executed works are in profit or in loss and notifies projects on over consumptions and reports to the project engineers.

• Compiles and summarizes weekly project performance in comparison with the approved planned amounts.

• Based on the reports prepares a monthly feedback report to each project

• Send contract documents, drawings, correspondences, approval requests and approval letters (both approved and not approved), material requests from projects, checklists and critical issues, work orders, site handing over protocols, provisional and final acceptance certificates and payment certificates under supervision of immediate supervisor for documentation.

Job Requirements

• MSc or BSc Degree in Civil Engineering, COTM, or in a related field with relevant work experience.

Experience

• 2/4 Years or above related work experience.
