Reports to: General Manager and Deputy Manager

Job purpose: To handle day-to-day accounting and provide financial information to management by analyzing

data and prepare reports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Building the financial strategy of the company in collaboration with the General Manager and Deputy Manager.

• Analise financial and operational results to better understand company performance.

• Responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of all accounting systems, processes, and procedures to ensure complete, accurate, and timely accounting;

• Responsible for the management of accounts payable, and protects the reputation of the company while conserving cash;

• Responsible for the management of accounts receivable, and ensures timely collection;

• Responsible for the management of the payroll, ensures timely and correct payment of staff, and manages benefits programs;

• Responsible for cash management, pre-authorization of payments, and related treasury functions;

• Responsible for the timely and accurately preparation and filing of regular, interim and special reports, management accounts, cash flow forecasts, trend analysis, etc.;

• Ensures full compliance with all applicable tax codes, timely filing, and payment of taxes;

• Prepares, coordinates, and manages audits and laisse with external auditors;

• Responsible for keeping compliance records, prepares compliance reviews and reports, and monitors required reporting;

• Stays abreast of all relevant developments in standards, procedures, and regulations, informs management of changes, and makes recommendations;

• Contributes to a professionally managed company;

• Ensures that the company is adequately insured at reasonable cost;

• Liaises and maintains good working relationships with Banks

• Ensures bank accounts are closely followed and reconciliation is periodically performed.

• Reviewing operations and recommending new productive or cost-saving initiatives.

• Responsible for weekly stock and monthly financial reports to the General Manager.

• Any other duties as assigned by the General Manager and Deputy Manager

Functional

• Excellent knowledge in accounting standards and Ethiopian Tax law.

• Excellent knowledge in MS Excel Behavioral

• Must be willing and able to work independently, flexibly, and responsively.

• Must be committed to the success of Ephtah coffee and willing to work within the existing framework.

• Willingness to engage in other work, as directed by the General Manager, as per the needs of the company.

• Time management Qualification & Experience:

• Graduation in Accounting.

• Minimum five years experience in a reputed organization, preferably in an export company
