Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care services provided to clients utilizing the nursing process for these clients in accordance with the physician’s orders and established policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

•  Apply professional nursing judgment to individualize the plan of care based upon the assessment conducted on client’s baseline needs and response / s to care, support, treatment and rehabilitation services

• Be actively engaged in the performing triage and care, support and treatment related services to clients with both emergency and non – emergency related Health Problems

• Be able to assess nursing needs of acute and chronically ill clients that are going to be served with in the Staff Clinic

• Be able to independently seek out resources and work collaboratively with other Health Care Providers serving within the Clinic and other staff members serving in the organization

• Be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other colleagues and other staff members / clients

• Be able to communicate clearly with clients, the healthcare team including the Physician, Laboratory Technician, administration staff, leadership and others

• Be able to educated and counsel clients in accordance with the nursing plan of care

• Be able to use sensory and cognitive functions to process and prioritize information, care, treatment, support and rehabilitation services including follow - ups

• Be able to utilize and apply fine motor skills Competent in BLS and/or other specialized life support requirements designated at the working area / site

• Be able to record activities, document assessments, plan of care, support, treatment and rehabilitation related interventions, evaluation and re-evaluation of client’s status

• Be able to navigate the entity to provide clinical care for the client.

• Be able to remain focused and organized, apply working knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering routine and special care, treatments and support related services to clients

• Have basic working knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control protocols and procedures and also safety precautions

• Assist other nursing personnel in the provision of nursing care and act as team leader or in - charge nurse for a group of clients or an entire unit as assigned

• Monitor and initiate corrective action to maintain the environment of care, support and treatment including equipment and material targeted resources

• Participate actively in professional development related activities by maintaining required competencies, identifying learning needs and seeking appropriate assistance or educational offerings

• Participate in the formal evaluation process of peers and other care providers including the volunteer camp Health Committee members

• Participate actively in planning, organizing and conducting orientation sessions, Health Educations, assessments and training 

• Maintain client privacy and confidentiality.

•  Avail, follow – up, order and control (by conducting regular audits) medications, medical equipment, consumable items, materials and supplies in collaboration with the Head of the clinic within specific period of time and prepare and submit reports (this should also have to include the follow – up and reporting that is going to be made for identifying and reporting near – to – expire medications, consumable items and other supplies)

• Make sure that all critical clients, medications, medical equipment and other relevant items and matters are properly handed over to the in - coming nurse upon departure from his / her duty assignment

•  Perform all other related activities whenever the need arise or upon demand

•  Assist other colleagues whenever the need arises

• Act as a coordinator if assigned by the Head of the Clinic

• Act and provide services in a professional manner

• Promote and maintain privacy and confidentiality

• Keep up – to – date any kinds of developments and changes within the Clinic and its surroundings

• Adhere to Policies and Procedures

• Be conscious of Health and Safety at Work

• Take part in extra duties and services e.g. Infection control nurse etc. see ward list

• Be willing to serve on rotations and fill gaps when ever encountered

• Be willing to provide services whenever assigned by the immediate supervisor (during duty hours)

• Be able to provide outreach service

Job Requirements

BSc in Clinical Nursing or Public Health with a minimum of four years of experience in an industry environment.
