Job Description

The Functional Consultant will apply advanced process analysis skills, knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Finance capabilities, and an understanding of company’s requirements gathered using strong business, Finance functional and technical consulting skills to design and implement proven solutions that address companies business challenges and implement the MS Dynamic D365 modules for the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Act as a discovery lead: learn the most important company’s challenges and needs and uncover those problems that are unspoken, and ultimately establish a proposed solution that will enable them to achieve the company’s goals.

  • Elicit, analyze, and validate business needs of key stakeholders by planning, facilitating and documenting requirements’ gathering / discovery workshops.

  • Utilize a deep knowledge of financial processes and best practices to advise and guide the organization during pre-implementation consulting engagements such as Requirements Gathering, Fit Gap Assessments, Design and Configuration.

  • Align with stakeholders to convert business requirements into capabilities, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Translate conceptual requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team

  • Extensive functional knowledge in core Finance modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Receivable, Fixed Assets, Intercompany Accounting, Treasury functions

  • Experience with Finance process design and leading practices, including demonstrated experience in process documentation / process improvement within the Finance function

  • Playing an active role in the project team in definition of the optimized business processes, structured requirements analysis, providing input for project scope or product backlog, prioritizing the requirements, helping customers to define MVP and product roadmaps,

  • Delivering fit-gap analysis for the solution requirements with reference to standard capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and SCM,

  • Proactively sharing knowledge as well as introducing new people to the team and teaching others.

Job Requirements

Qualification and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree/Masters Degree in Business Accounting with IFRS implementation knowledge. CPA or equivalent would be an asset

Educational background

  • Accounting or Accounting and Finance or Management or Business Administration or Public Administration or related field of studies.

Special training needed to perform the Job

  • Microsoft Dynamics D365 Functional Certifications highly desirable including:

  • Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant Associate certification or

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance Functional Consultant

  • Or Microsoft Dynamics 365: Core Finance and Operations

   Experience:

  • 5 years for BSc/BA (5 years of experience in the finance function in which 2-3 years in Microsoft D365 Finance (or equivalent) implementation experience in Dynamics 365 F&O)

  • 3 years for MSc/MA ( 5 years of experience in the finance function in which 2-3 years in Microsoft D365 Finance (or equivalent) implementation experience in Dynamics 365 F&O)

Skills

The candidate must possess deep knowledge of multiple Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution implementation areas, specifically in the areas of Finance.

Strong analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization. Ability to effectively communicate to different audiences including internal and external stakeholders and peers clearly and concisely in written, oral and various presentation formats and situations
