The Opportunity

The job holder provides support to, PIE’s supported TSFP Nurse activities of the government, in all kebeles of each target woredas. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the provision of quality out-patient therapeutic and in-patient care of SAM case management, and follow-up services to target beneficiaries through ensuring adherence to national and international SAM case management protocols.

Job Requirement

Qualifications/ experience essential:

• Education: A Nursing Diploma from a recognized health college.

• Minimum three year’s experience with INGO/NGO of Infant and Young Child Feeding practices /treatment of malnourished children in nutrition program (TSFP) implementation – case definition and care, clinical management, TSFP management, data collection, and compilation, working with counterpart for lasting intervention, training of health workers, etc

Languages required:

• Good written and spoken of the local language in the area is mandatory in addition to English.

Safeguarding Children and Young People (Safeguarding) and Gender Equality and Inclusion (GEI)

• Understands and puts into practice the responsibilities under Safeguarding and GEI policies and Plan International’s Code of Conduct (CoC), ensuring that concerns are reported and managed by the appropriate procedures.

• Ensures that all staff sign safeguarding policies;

• Implement Plan International’s global policies for Safeguarding Children and Young People and Gender Equality and Inclusion are fully embedded in day-to-day work.
